Hello everyone! I am Reena Panjwani, MS, RD, CDN, CPT and I am an NYC based nutritionist, personal trainer, and a not-so closet nerd.

Presently I am working as a registered dietitian at an outpatient primary care clinic at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with a large array of medical conditions.

I am not a trained chef or photographer, but I love to cook and share some of the easy and nourishing recipes that I have come up with through my career as a dietitian. Though I seem to have collected several kitchen gadgets throughout the years, I try to make healthy food as accessible as possible, no matter your background or kitchen space.

In terms of my nutrition philosophy, I believe in eating mindfully, intuitively, and focusing on "whole foods", as close to their natural state as possible. I believe that when you begin to get more in touch with the way food makes you feel, the more likely you are to make healthy choices. I personally try to center my meals around plant-based foods (vegetables, legumes, beans, whole grains), and when I do eat meat and dairy, I generally choose those that are locally sourced and/or organic. Given my Indian background, I also rely heavily on lots of herbs and spices, so get ready to stock your spice cabinet! As my name suggests, greens are a large part of my diet (along with many other colors of the rainbow), and I hope they become a large part of yours.

  • MS: Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, New York University (2012)
  • BS: Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Emory University (2007)

Despite my profession, I strongly believe in balance (perhaps that is the Libra in me!), and feel that there is almost always room for a glass of wine or birthday cake, should the occasion arise. I hope to provide you with the tools to live the most enjoyable and healthy life possible!

I also love to workout, do yoga, paint watercolors, and I have an addiction to kale and blinged out sunnies.
