As Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, I have been trying to keep up with my workouts and healthy eating as much as possible. This tends to be more challenging during the weekends, as I typically spend less time in the kitchen and more time with friends and family. However, I do make a weekly Saturday morning trip to the local farmer’s market, to stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables for the upcoming week.
This Saturday, before heading to the market, my bff, Rachel, and I, got together to workout in the park, while my husband played football with his friends. Over the summer, Rachel and I started what we like to call “Bootleg Bootcamp” (BLBC), where we run a set of stairs at the park a bunch of times, and then do a core strengthening circuit. If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen videos and photos of some our routines. Despite its name, BLBC is actually a great workout! We push each other and have fun while we are doing it! We try to do it at least once a month in addition to our own individual exercise routines. Staying motivated to workout outside in this cold weather has been difficult, but this weekend we both really wanted to make sure to get it in given that the holidays are around the corner. Historically, we have worn matching outfits for BLBC, but this week the priority was warmth.
